Every Finnished project is bespoke to you — out of both our desire to realise people’s visions, and our need to work with the wider home in mind.

Everything from the design, size, layout, and materials of your project is co-created with yourselves and us, balancing your needs and tastes with our expertise and experience.

And while we do indeed specialise in creating Finnish saunas, really this specialisation complements the whole spectrum of outdoor spatial design, encompassing garden studios for additional working or exercise spaces, to landscaping and al fresco kitchens and dining areas.

The key for us is not the thing itself, but whether the thing is able to exist organically within your home. The garden is so often viewed as a separate experience to the house; we would argue that the homes that feel the homeliest are those that understand and utilise joined-up thinking from the front door all the way through to the outermost boundaries of the property.

Whilst we do undertake most of our saunas as outside buildings, there is also the possibility of converting existing spaces into saunas, depending on feasibility and suitability. As ever, all options are open for discussion, and we welcome a chat and any questions you might have.

Next, a thorough site survey will give us a clear view of the precise limitations and opportunities. We’ll visit the site, analyse the conditions, and take precise measurements — effectively giving us everything we need to create a tailored and accurate quote.

We’ll help you to find materials you love to bring your vision to life. With this key information in-hand, we can begin the exciting process of designing your sauna.

Quotation
Quotation

With all of this information in hand, we’ll create your project specifications. This is, in essence, what Finnished will deliver for you. This includes costs, timelines, possible add-ons as well as an overall plan that fits practically around you.

Contract
Contract

Once you’re completely happy with your quotation and project specification, all that’s left is for us both to agree in writing. Then, work can commence at your convenience.

Building Work & Project Management

After much planning and collaboration, your project can now begin in earnest. During every key step of the build, we will talk you personally through our progress to ensure you’re totally satisfied with how it’s coming together.

Final Inspection & Handover
Final Inspection & Handover

The final key step, of course, is project completion. At this time, we will walk through your build together to make absolutely certain that you’re delighted with the results. Then, all that’s left is to hand over to you — to enjoy your brand new sauna, wet room or garden studio! Onnittelut!
