Our Mission
It is said that Finland is the happiest country in the world. Finnish culture is certainly a major factor in this, but we believe that sauna plays one of the most important parts of creating a harmonious, satisfying and peaceful life.
At Finnished, we bring the most authentic, genuine sauna culture from Finland to the UK. Saunas are places of peace and tranquility, spaces to aid in mental and physical well-being, and grounded in hundreds of years of practiced history.
Our Values
We believe that true satisfaction comes with a symbiotic relationship between the physical and nature. Saunas embody this connection - wood provides the living, breathing element to a structure, and the framework gives stability and strength.
We do not believe in off-the-shelf builds - each sauna is bespoke to each environment and customer’s needs. Only specific Finnish wood suitable for saunas are used. We import the very best Harvia stoves. This is a Finnish sauna, built by Finns who have each spent over fifty years with saunas as their lifeblood.
Meet Olli & Ulla

Growing up in rural Finland, Olli’s father was a hands-on man, building their house, tending the land, creating a living culture that married the physical with nature.
Having led a career in telecommunications, Olli had the opportunity to design and help build his own family home. And this sparked in him the desire to pursue his real passion that had been lit by his father.
Bringing the most genuine of Finnish cultures and standards to the UK where his daughter now lives, Olli designs and builds saunas entirely bespoke to the customer’s needs. Not one aspect is pre-formulated. His sauna buildings are living, breathing structures, and provide the most authentic Finnish sauna experience for your health and well-being.

It all begins with an idea. A design, a style, that follows through to feel, touch points, usability, tactility. The magic is the sauna itself, the luxury is the finishing.
Ulla excels at these details. Growing up in rural East Finland, she has an ingrained understanding of how nature influences living spaces. As the Design Director, she brings visions to life. Her experience not just in interiors but also in landscaping and gardens (having been published in leading magazines) completes the full-service package that Finnished provides.
